Case Study: South-East Monash Legal Service (SMLS)

Project

The Advocacy Against Sexual Harassment (AASH) Program, provides confidential free legal assistance to low-income workers experiencing vulnerability or disadvantage.

The AASH program launched in February 2023. Promotion of the program was initially done via a launch event with stakeholders and community development work.

A multi-channel campaign including paid media was developed to further promote this program to potential clients, encouraging them to get in touch to seek advice.

Results

The campaign was a huge success in helping SMLS to launch the new AASH program and reach clients in need.

Critically, the campaign helped triple the number of clients seeking support for workplace sexual harassment claims.

Campaign activity drove strong reach and engagement, which not only benefited the AASH campaign itself but also SMLS as an organisation.

My role

I supported the SMLS team throughout the entire project life cycle, from strategy and planning, through development and implementation, and finally to monitoring and evaluation. This included:

  • Campaign strategy
  • Creative concept development
  • Copywriting
  • Media planning
  • Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Production of the final campaign report
